  • Exposure reduction from 1 to 5 f-stops
  • Density of 0.3 to 1.5 leads to a darkening of the entire image

Variable exposure reduction
The NiSi True Color ND-VARIO - 1-5 Stops offers an exposure reduction of 1 to 5 f-stops. The density of 0.3 to 1.5 leads to a darkening of the entire image, so that larger apertures or slower shutter speeds than usual are possible. The degree of density is set simply by turning the front filter ring with or without the silver lever provided, which can be used to determine the additional exposure time in advance.

By slowing down the exposure time or increasing the aperture, the depth of field can be controlled and movement can be rendered clearly recognizable. The transition of density is smooth, so that the photographer or videographer can adjust the exposure time precisely to the requirements of a particular scene. For easy and repeatable control of the density settings, the front ring is marked with numbers representing the different aperture values. The ring is ribbed on the sides to ensure a secure grip and make it easier to put on and take off.

True Color coating
The filter also has a True Color coating, which prevents the color shifts that occur with other variable filters. The True Color ND-VARIO - 1-5 Stops is made of high-resolution optical glass for the best resolution and quality. The glass is coated with a NiSi multilayer nano-coating, which provides a waterproof, oil-resistant and anti-reflective coating to prevent ghosting and reflections. The filter ring is made of high-quality aluminum, resulting in a very light and robust filter.
