Leofoto Ranger LS-223C carbon tripod with LH-25 ball head
The smallest and lightest tripod among the Leofoto travel tripods in the Ranger series. It is, in a word, ultra-compact. This mini tripod can be stowed in any reasonably spacious photo bag (or rucksack), and often even in a space-saving, upright "position". This allows you to master photographic tasks in a way that puts many a large tripod in the same bag. The Leofoto Ranger LS-223C carbon tripod is simply the ideal "always with you" tripod. No more situations where you miss a tripod! This cute little powerhouse is perfectly combined with the equally ultra-compact Leofoto LH-25 ball head. The load capacity of this congenial duo is no less than 6 kg! The weight of both parts adds up to just 702 grams.
Leofoto Ranger series - the ultra-light but extremely stable carbon tripods
Nature is practically the nature of the compact and lightweight Leofoto Ranger tripods. Every gram and every millimetre counts on days of photo stalking in order to minimize the volume and weight of your luggage. However, all pieces of equipment must not only save space and weight, but also meet very high requirements. Stability under all circumstances, that is the requirement. The material, carbon, ensures the required lightness. Its stability and freedom from vibration "grows" with the number of layers. Apart from the Traveler tripod series and the monopods, Leofoto tripods are made of ten-layer carbon. With their small diameters, the head plates of the Ranger series are also subordinate to the space-saving concept. And because they are CNC-milled from strong aircraft aluminum, they fit perfectly. The head plate screw has a 3/8 inch thread. The tripod legs - each consisting of three to five leg elements, depending on the model - glide smoothly and without twisting. They are held in place by rubberized twist locks that are easy to grip. Unwanted vibrations are absorbed by the rubber feet. If necessary, they can be replaced with the stainless steel spikes supplied or optional snow and sand feet.
Leofoto Ranger LS-223C carbon tripod - short and sweet
For all its lightness and stability (already described above), the tripod also shines with its small dimensions: 202 mm pack size and 350 mm maximum working height (without ball head). It is hardly surprising that the Ranger LS-223C can also perform an almost perfect "balancing act". Then the impressively low working height of 45 mm (without ball head) offers ideal conditions for macro shots of the ground life below. The legs consist of three segments with diameters of 22, 19 and 16 mm.
Leofoto LH-25 ball head - very small, but powerful and precise
This small ball head is precisely manufactured from CNC-milled, black anodized aircraft aluminium and comes with a built-in spirit level. The power of this "flyweight" (only 172 grams) is not immediately apparent. However, the Leofoto LH-25 ball head "lifts" a very decent 6 kg load! The low overall height of only 67 mm keeps the center of gravity low. This also reduces unwanted vibrations. With a 3/8" tripod thread and a large wing nut, the latter for locking the ball (diameter 25 mm) in the desired position. Velvety smooth adjustment and smooth-running 360° panorama function. The scale on the tripod plate facilitates precise adjustment. Vertical tilting of the ball is possible up to 90°. Cameras can be attached and removed in next to no time with the built-in quick-release coupling including PU-25 QR camera plate of the Arca-Swiss type.
