The Gitzo GM2542 Series 2 monopod is a slim, extremely lightweight carbon fiber monopod with 4 leg segments. It is specially designed for ultimate portability and stability. Its carbon eXact tubes guarantee maximum load capacity with minimum weight. The GM2542 is a professional tripod that offers a secure hold for an impressive load of 30 kg with its feather-light weight of only 0.51 kg. The G-Lock Ultra locking system guarantees extremely rigid connections of the leg segments, making the tubes even more resilient and preventing moisture and dirt from entering the leg joints.

The monopod reaches a height of 164 cm and is equipped with a practical, reversible 1/4 and 3/8 inch connection thread for attaching various types of cameras, Lens and tripod heads. It folds down to just 54 cm and can be easily packed away or strapped to a backpack for day or night hikes.

The GM2542 frame features an innovative rubber foot with a swivel ball joint for smooth movement, perfect for capturing subjects in motion. If required, the foot can be removed and replaced with other feet or metal spikes. The monopod also features Gitzo's renowned ergonomic handle and a detachable wrist strap for improved safety.
